The food was all so salty

Came to eat after HS Girl's substate basketball game and it was very good food for the price. If we ever come back, this is the place to eat

Excellent service even after a football game. The hamburgers are big and juicy just as you would hope. They have excellent specialty burgers! I would recommend the Big Willis with jalapeno poppers, bacon, grilled onions and cheese. Homemade skin on fries they are done right and not soggy! We all loved it!

I ABSOLUTELY LUV that the burgers are nice and juicy instead of overcooked and dry. I make sure the burger drips over the home cut french fries which is AWESOME TASTING!!!

For lunch, I ordered their BBQ brisket sandwich, which came with two sides of baked beans and Mac & Cheese. What an excellent meal! The brisket was chopped and had just the right amount of a sweet and smoky sauce over it. The sides were a perfect combo with the brisket sandwich. I’ll be back!

Juicy burgers, onion tanglers, Huge specialty burgers and the friendliest staff around.

The hamburgers are nice and big. Order ahead if you want to cut down on the wait time. Ask them to mark the contents on the container if ordering take-out, was not done on my last order and it was not good. The cost to feed a family can be a bit much.

Just what I was looking for: a thick tasty loaded burger with lots of fries that wouldn't break the bank! And Lisa, the hostess, was so friendly giving us the inside story on Altamont. We'll definitely return and bring others. They have shakes, she said next time they'll have malts, too.

Easy to find, get into and out of. Business is clean, staff is courteous and knows the menu. Food is good, portions are large and they also have desserts. They offer their food to go and you can call in your orders. Service was good and the wait was not to long. Fries are natural cut, ours were a little overcooked, still good though. One of the few burger places where the burger looked great when brought out. Worth stopping in.

MJ's has great burgers. They are very big burgers with about every kind of burger concoction you can imagine. The sides are large also having many options to choose from. The atmosphere is much like an old fashion burger joint and welcomes one or many. The prices are average to most burger houses. Its a Great place to eat with a small town atmosphere, Go try it out.

The young lady who took our order was not very friendly and may have been new because she didn't really no the menu. However, the food was great and the portions aplenty! The cook and I'm guessing owner were very friendly. Definitely recommend.

My husband got the Hickory Burger and I got the Barnyard Burger. These burgers were massive and absolutely delicious! The buns were toasted to a nice buttery crispness which added a lot of flavor and texture. The barbecue sauce on the hickory burger was a perfect mix of sweetness & tanginess and the homemade onion rings were a nice addition to top it off. The Barnyard consists of meat from everything you'd find around a barn - a giant juicy beef burger, crisp strips of bacon, thin slices of salty ham, a crunchy onion ring with a runny-yolk egg in the center, all topped off with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle. This burger was layered with so many different flavors and the melted cheese helped it all meld together. As if the delicious burgers weren't enough, MJ's home cut fries and fried pickle chips were perfectly fried and wonderfully complimented the burgers. Expect to pay a little extra for the burgers, but they are definitely worth it for their size and tastiness!

Food was delicious. We did have to wait longer than expected to receive our food. Disappointed in the fact that two other tables that came in after us, were served (one had completely finished) before we ever received our food. The owner and cook was very friendly and accommodated a small special order request due to food allergies.

I wasn't expecting as good a meal as I received here. Got the jalapeno chicken sandwich with some tater tots and okra. Was especially happy with the fried okra. The breading wasn't heavy and the okra was fresh. The sandwich was also good. Three out of the four in the party ordered it and everyone was happy with it. Our waitress was sweet and accommodating. Not that there are many alternatives in Altamont, but it's still a good place to stop and get a good bite to eat.

Not a burger fan but will drive 20 miles to get 1 here cant beat the flavor of these burgers

Friendly Service and Great Food!

The fries were cooked way too long, hard and dry. The waitress didn't know how to be polite enough to say you're welcome after telling her thank you more than once.
